The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Capabilities Department by supervising the work of the Administration and ICT Business Areas and Europol’s portfolio of information management products and services.

Main responsibilities may include:
Provide leadership and direction to the Department in fulfilling Europol’s objectives;
Managing and supervising the implementation of the Information Management and Communication Technology strategies of Europol;
Planning and managing the recruitment, administration and development of Europol’s staff in the interests of the service and in compliance with the Staff Regulations and other applicable provisions;
Developing and implementing Europol’s policies, processes and procedures related to financial planning and administration, including the reporting of corporate budget performance;
Coordinating facilities management and providing a single point of contact for the provision of internal services, as well as all maintenance, construction and renovation activities;
Represent the Director as and when required;
Perform any other task assigned by the Director.
Your profile:
We are looking for senior professionals from all EU Member States, who have:
At least 10 years of managerial experience in administration or ICT, preferably within the EU or another international environment; managerial experience in a law enforcement environment will be an advantage;
Experience of liaison and cooperation on strategic as well as policy matters;
Sound understanding of EU administration at a senior management level;
Strong leadership skills; Good diplomatic skills and ability to deal with sensitive issues at the highest administrative and political levels;
Monthly salary: approx. 8,384.25 EUR (net without allowance) and approx. 11,793.03 EUR (net with allowances – if applicable – This indicative salary calculation took into account the expatriation, household and 1 dependent child allowance.). In addition, if applicable, allowances such as expatriation allowance, household allowance, dependent child allowance and education may be granted. Europol also offers a comprehensive welfare package.
